Aluel Atem is a development economist, blogger and African Feminist Activist from South Sudan with a primary focusonconflict, gender and sexuality. She facilitates trainings on gender and conflict transformation, coach and mentor other trainers globally on training and facilitation skills. Aluel isaco-founder of a Women’s Rights Organization known as Crown the Woman-South Sudan, a writer for African Feminism (AF), a Pan-African digital feminist platform andcurates Gender Talk 211a feminist traditionaland digital multimedia platform where South Sudanese explore andshare resources, experiences, knowledge and skills that facilitateconversations on gender and sexuality. She also blogs about her personal experiences and issues that affect the social status of women and girls especially in South Sudan on her personal website https://aluelatem.com. Aluelcurrently sits on the Ceasefire and Transitional Security Arrangements Monitoring and Verification Mechanism(CTSAMVM) Board as the South Sudan Women’s Coalition for Peace Representative.
